How to connect to your ARMA 3 server and how to set a password for the server?

In order to find your server and connect to it, you must follow a series of actions dictated by the game. Including, you need to set a password for the server (if necessary).

How to connect to the server

There are several different methods for this:

Method 1 – Steam Favorites List:

1. Find the IP address and port of the server in the welcome email from us or in the game panel at the location indicated in the screenshot below. Copy only the IP address, which is the sequence of characters before the “:” symbol.
   
2. Start Steam.
3. Select “View → Servers” from the menu at the top.
4. Click on “Favorites”.
5. Now you need to add the IP + Query Port of the game server in the “FAVORITES” tab using the steps shown on the screenshot.
   – Query Port for ARMA 3 is “2303”. It is only used to connect via Steam, so it is different from the Game Port, which is listed in your welcome-email or in the game panel.
   
6. On the right bottom corner select “Refresh”. Select your server and click on “Connect” (If you click on “Connect” without refreshing before, an error may appear. This is a bug from Steam).

Method 2 – Game launcher:

1. Start Steam.
2. Open the tab “Library → Games”.
3. Start the game “Arma 3”.
4. In the game launcher, click on the “Servers” button.
   
5. Select the “Favorite” tab and click “Direct Connect”.
   
6. Enter the IP address of your server (without the port – all characters before “:”) in the required field and enter the password (if necessary). Then click “Connect”.
   

How to set a password on the server

1. Login to your game panel.
2. In the server overview, click on the name of your server.
3. In the top menu, click on “Startup”.
4. Set the desired password in the “Server Password” field.
